BIO: Professor Janusz Kacprzyk is a distinguished Polish scientist renowned for his pioneering contributions to fuzzy logic, computational intelligence, decision making, and systems science. He is a Full Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and serves at the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland. Professor Kacprzyk is a Fellow of the IEEE (Life Fellow), IET, IFSA, EurAI, IFIP, AAIA, AIIA, I2CICC, and SMIA, reflecting his global influence in computer science and artificial intelligence. He is also President of the Polish Operational and Systems Research Society and a Past President of IFSA (International Fuzzy Systems Association). He holds numerous international distinctions as a Member or Foreign Member of prestigious academies, including the Academia Europaea, European Academy of Sciences and Arts, European Academy of Sciences, International Academy for Systems and Cybernetics Sciences (IASCYS), National Academy of Artificial Intelligence, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Spanish Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences (RACEF), Finnish Society of Sciences and Letters, Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts (KVAB), Russian Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, and the Accademia Nazionale di Scienze, Lettere e Arti di Palermo.
His prolific research output includes hundreds of scientific papers, books, and edited volumes that have significantly shaped the fields of fuzzy systems, intelligent decision support, and computational intelligence. Professor Kacprzyk’s work bridges theory and application, influencing developments in engineering, economics, and management sciences worldwide.
